Although this school year has not yet ended, it is time to start thinking about next year. Many of the local school districts are scheduling Kindergarten registration later this month.

One of the requirements for Kindergarten registration is a physical examination. A certificate of immunization form is also required stating successful immunization against diphtheria, tetanus, whooping cough, poliomyelitis, measles (rubeola), German measles (rubella), mumps, hepatitis B, and varicella (chicken pox). You can avoid the fall rush by scheduling your child for their school physical now.

Children new to the Virginia school system are also required to have a school physical and certification of immunization before entering school.

You can schedule your child for an appointment by calling 1-866-645-4584, or online at www.tricareonline.com. If you have recently arrived on post, enrollment at Kenner Army Health Clinic is required prior to scheduling the appointment. If you need assistance, please stop by the TRICARE Service Center which is located on the first floor of the clinic.
