The Quartermaster School walked away with two titles while the Army School of Music (representing the Soldier Support Institute) earned its first-ever category win during the CASCOM Best Warrior/Drill Sergeant of the Year Competition Awards Ceremony Wednesday at Seay Field.
Staff Sgt. Koku Adzoble and Spc. Charles Leong were announced as the Noncommissioned Officer and Soldier of the Year winners, respectively, in a ceremony hosted by Maj. Gen. Rodney D. Fogg, CASCOM and Fort Lee commanding general. Staff Sgt. Aaron Gellos, representing the Army School of Music, was proclaimed the DSOY winner.
Twelve contestants participated in an abbreviated version of the event due to COVID-19. The winners will advance to the Training and Doctrine Command Best Warrior/DSOY competition scheduled later this summer.
