Fort Lee Civilian-Military Council Meeting

Fort Lee and local community members honor the American flag at the opening of the Fort Lee Civilian-Military Council meeting Nov. 7 at Pamplin Historical Park. The council promotes cooperation, understanding and communication between the installation and the communities around it. More than 80 people attended the event hosted by Kevin Massengill, Dinwiddie County, county administrator.

John E. Hall, Deputy to the CASCOM and Fort Lee Commanding General, welcomed the group before addressing several key issues surrounding the meeting’s topic, Military Housing in Our Communities. Col. Hollie J. Martin, Garrison commander, offered closing remarks that included appreciation and thanks to departing elected officials for their years of support to the military and Fort Lee.
