7th Sustainment Brigade’s “Resolute” warriors make it home for the holidays

7th Sustainment Brigade Commander Col. Mark J. Barbosa and Command Sgt. Major Lesly T. McCorkle unfurl the unit guidon after uncasing the colors during the redeployment ceremony for Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 7th Sust. Bde. Dec. 24 at Anderson Field House, Fort Eustis.

After nearly 15 months of service in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, the brigade returned in two waves. The first group of about 150 Soldiers returned Dec. 20 followed by the redeployment of about 250 Soldiers Dec. 24.

During the deployment the Soldiers provided logistics support to United States and coalition forces throughout the Iraqi theater of operations.
