The Combined Arms Support Command is working to close the information gap within the Sustainment community with a new initiative called “CASCOM Forward!” – a collection of leader presentations focused on doctrine and modernization efforts.

“We must keep Sustainers across the Army informed on current and developing capabilities in order to achieve a shared understanding of doctrine and initiatives that are on-going priorities at CASCOM,” observed Maj. Gen. Rodney D. Fogg, CASCOM and Fort Lee commanding general.

“CASCOM Forward!” will consist of short videos featuring senior leaders from throughout the Sustainment community. They will provide key information about a variety of subjects.

In addition to increased information flow, these videos can be used in staff discussions, professional development sessions, brown bag lunch presentations and operational unit updates.

Videos will be posted twice a month.

Topics already available include discussions on Division Sustainment Brigades with Col. Sydney Smith, director of Capabilities Development and Integration; and the Commander’s Actionable Readiness Dashboard with Chief Warrant Officer 5 Jonathan Yerby, CASCOM command warrant officer.

Future scheduled topics include areas such as Bulk Fuel Distribution Systems, an FM 1-0 Update, MEDLOG in GCSS-Army, and Additive Manufacturing and 3D Printing.
