FORT LEE, Va. – The post theater group’s first KidKapers production of the 2019-2020 season, “Children of Eden, Jr.,” opens July 26, 7 p.m., at the Lee Theater, building 4300, Mahone Avenue.

Additional performances are set for July 27 and 28 at 2 p.m., Aug. 2 at 7 p.m., and Aug. 3 and 4 at 2 p.m. All shows are open to the public.

Based on the story of Genesis, “Children of Eden, Jr.” is an adaptation of the epic and heartfelt musical conceived by Stephen Schwartz. It explores some of the age-old conflicts between parents and children. Adam (portrayed by Jacob Martin) and Eve (Helene White) make choices that will result in consequences, both good and bad. How will Father (Jennifer Price) perceive these actions? Then, Noah’s son Japeth (Anthony Hernandez) introduces Yonah (Kourtney Thompson) to his family and chaos and drama unfolds from there. This play takes audiences on a journey through the ages that will have them examining their own life through new lenses.

Director Eden DiMarco and choreographer Jessica Beaudet present a cast of 19 of the best young actors in the area. After many weeks of rehearsals, they are ready to give a performance the whole family will love. Other contributors include Joe Beaudet, set and lighting design; Eden DiMarco, costumes; John Redling, sound design; and Jessica Beaudet, stage management.

General admission tickets are available at the door for $7 per person. All visitors to Fort Lee are reminded that individuals 18 years of age and older must present a government or state-issued picture ID to be cleared for access to the installation.
