Hundreds donned sneakers and PT attire Monday to help celebrate the 232nd Chaplaincy Anniversary at Memorial Chapel.

The 5K Faith Run/Walk was organized by the Fort Lee unit ministry team to recognize the event and was supported by a mass gathering of Team Lee. Members of the post 10-miler team, the 49th Quartermaster Group, 23rd QM Brigade, the Marine Corps Detachment, government employees, retirees and family members congregated in the hazy, humid morning to take part in second annual 5K run/walk.

“The Bible says we walk by faith and not by sight,” said Chaplain (Col.) James Walker. “I want to thank all of you for coming out here today and helping us celebrate our anniversary. What a great way to start of the day.”
