Barbershops Begin Appointment-Only Services

The barbershops at the Main Exchange, PXtra and on the Ordnance Campus are now providing appointment-only haircuts to military members, retirees, DOD Civilians, contractors and family members.

They will operate under required COVID-19 sanitation and safety operating procedures for that service. The measures include barbers and customers wearing face masks, customers sanitizing their hands before entering the shops and hair washing prior to being cut.

To schedule one of the 20-minute appointments, call 804-861-5881 (main store barber), 835-9127 (main store salon), 861-6060 (PXtra), or 861-1866 (Ordnance Campus).

Governor Grants Additional DMV Extensions

Governor Ralph Northam has extended renewals of driver’s licenses, vehicle registrations and more to Aug. 31. This measure covers credentials that expired between March 15 - May 31 and June 1- July 31.

All renewal fees will remain the same and no late fees will be assessed for customers who renew during the extension period. The month in which the new credential expires will not change from the original date of expiration. For example, a customer with a vehicle registration originally expiring in May 2020 will be issued a renewal that expires in May 2021.
