A post-wide tornado drill will be conducted on post March 18, and will be held in conjunction with the state-wide drill being conducted by the Virginia Department of Emergency Management.
This includes the weekly siren tests Wednesday at 12:15 p.m. The warning signal is known as a “hi-lo.” The signal means “take cover.” The siren always means “warning.”
When it comes to tornadoes, there’s no such thing as a “tornado season.” Tornadoes can strike anywhere, anytime, and everyone needs to know the drill. See next week’s “Traveller” for an article on “Tornado Basics.”
