FORT LEE, Va (March 31, 2011) -In a few weeks time, thousands of area school children will find themselves with a little more free time on their hands. Six school districts in the greater-Richmond area, including Prince George County, Dinwiddie County, Chesterfield County, and the cities of Colonial Heights, Hopewell and Petersburg, will trade reading, writing and arithmetic for recreation during spring break 2011 set for April 18-22.
Fort Lee Child, Youth and School Services is ready to entertain, enlighten and energize youths during the annual retreat with additional activities, events and programming. Children registered and enrolled at Fort Lee's child development centers and youth center programs will participate in daily activities like miniature golf tournaments, visits to local attractions, talent shows, egg hunts and more.
Youths looking for high intensity activities can register for the Edge! Program that offers out-of-school enrichment opportunities for children and youth (grades 5-12) to experience, develop, grow and excel by participating in cutting-edge art, fitness, life skills and adventure activities.
