FORT LEE, Va. (Nov. 9, 2017) -- A longstanding Fort Lee tradition will continue on Thanksgiving Day.

The installation has announced two dining facilities will open their doors to civilians for the holiday meal Nov. 23.

The Samuel Sharpe DFAC – building P18028 on the Ordnance Campus – is scheduled to serve civilian guests from 1:45-3:30 p.m.

The 262nd Quartermaster Battalion DFAC, building P11105, is slated to welcome non-military diners from 2:30-3:30 pm. That facility is located just off of 41st Street near the golf course.

“Civilians” include all Fort Lee Department of the Army employees, military retirees and their family and guests.

The Thanksgiving Day meal rates are as follows:

Enlisted Soldiers, officers and civilians – $9.05

Retirees and guests – $9.05

Spouses and family members of E-4 and below – $6.80

Holiday menu items for all four installation dining facilities include roasted turkey with gravy; baked ham with brown sugar glaze; mashed potatoes; cornbread dressing; sautéed asparagus or baked winter squash; green bean casserole; roasted Brussel sprouts; seasoned collard greens with poultry sausage; shrimp; crackers and croissants; cranberry-orange juice cocktail; and Dutch apple and pecan pies.

The Thanksgiving Day dining schedule for each dining facility is as follows:
