Kenner Adjusts Schedule for Columbus Weekend

Kenner Army Health Clinic and Troop Medical Clinic 2 will be open Oct. 11 (training holiday) for patient care. Mosier Consolidated Troop Medical Clinic 1 will be closed that day. All clinic facilities and services will be closed Oct. 14 in observance of Columbus Day.

To schedule appointments, call 1-866-533-5242. To request authorization to visit an urgent care center after-hours or when the clinic is closed, call the nurse advice line at 1-800-TRICARE and choose option 1.

Yoga Classes Move to Strength Performance Center

From Oct. 11 - Nov. 27, Iyengar Yoga classes will move to the Strength Performance Center to allow for the painting of its current location – the fitness room in MacLaughlin Fitness Center.

The classes will continue to be held on Mondays and Wednesdays, 5:15 - 6:30 p.m., led by Diana Martinez. Participants should sign-up and pay for classes at the SPC. The fee is $5 per class or $25 for a series of activities. No registration is necessary.

CWF Plans Series of Activities to Celebrate Civilians

Fort Lee’s Civilian Welfare Fund will hold several events to recognize the civilian workforce on post.

On Oct. 22, 11:30 a.m., a free Civilian Recognition Luncheon will take place at the Lee Club. John Hall, deputy to the CASCOM and Fort Lee commanding general, will be the guest speaker. On Oct. 24, beginning at 11:30 a.m., civilian employees can receive a free chicken sandwich, chips and water at a drive-thru event in the parking lot behind the Bloom Building, Battle Drive.

 

Federal Employee Meeting Scheduled for Oct. 16

Petersburg Chapter 28 for National Active and Retired Federal Employees will hold its monthly meeting Oct. 16, 10:30 a.m., at the Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer, 1769 S. Sycamore Street, Petersburg.

A representative from Anthem Blue Cross will speak about changes to its health care plan for 2019. Retirees and active employees from all federal agencies are invited to attend this meeting, as well as spouses, annuitants and guests.
