Submission Deadline Friday for Grad Tribute
The submission deadline for the 2019 Fort Lee Traveller high school graduation tribute is tomorrow – May 31.
Parents who want their graduate included must submit a head-and-shoulders photo of the individual(s) with the first and last name of each student and each parent; the parent’s rank (if applicable); the parent’s status and place of duty; the student’s age and high school; and a telephone number to be used (but not published) if additional information is needed. The photo submitted should be copyright-free (if taken by a studio or commercial vendor), 5-by-7 inches, 200-dpi or greater, and in JPEG format.

CASCOM Officers, Warrants Invited to Briefing
The Army Talent Management Task Force will hold an information briefing June 3,
10:30 a.m., in Bunker Hall’s Green Auditorium, ALU campus.
All CASCOM officers and warrant officers – including those from subordinate units – are encouraged to attend. The experts will discuss forthcoming career management and progression changes.
Busch Gardens Begins Free Admission Program
Military veterans and their family members can receive free admission to Busch Gardens in Williamsburg through July 15.

Registration Open for Vacation Bible School
Registration is open for the Vacation Bible School program set for Aug. 5-9. The activity is being hosted by the Fort Lee Religious Support Office.
“Roar VBS” will be held at Memorial Chapel, 1901 Sisisky Blvd., 6-8:30 p.m. It will feature Bible-learning experiences, team-building games, arts and crafts activities, songs and more. In addition, each participating youth will take part in a special program titled Operation Kid-to-Kid™ that will provide nutrition and good-health opportunities to moms and babies in Zambia, Africa.

One military family can win a year supply of diapers in the Army and Air Force Exchange Service Swaddle Your Baby photo contest through June 8
To enter, authorized shoppers should submit a photo of how they swaddle their baby at shopmyexchange.com/sweepstakes. One grand prize winner also will win a $500 Exchange gift card. Lee Plans Cake Cutting for Army Birthday
An Army Birthday Cake-Cutting Ceremony will be held June 14, 11:30 a.m., at the Lee Theater, Mahone Avenue. All members of Team Lee are welcome to attend the CASCOM-hosted event.
The celebration of the service’s 244th birthday will include a historic Army uniform presentation and music from a 392nd Army Band ensemble
Veterans History Project Preserves D-Day Stories
In commemoration of the 75th anniversary of D-Day, the Library of Congress has launched the Veterans History Project – an interactive online experience that features unique journeys of veterans who were part of the invasion.
The collection of viewable objects includes ticket stubs, sketches, military orders, diaries, photographs and more. The site chronicles the journeys of four veterans who took part in the invasion of Normandy on June 6, 1944.
