Spouse Education Program
Eligibility for the Stateside Spouse Education Assistance Program includes:
• Applicant must be a spouse of active duty or retired Soldiers, or widows(ers) of Soldiers who died either on active duty or in a retired status and residing in the United States
• Stateside applicants must be full time students
• Active duty military personnel are not eligible
• First undergraduate degrees only
Scholarship awards are based on financial need, as evidenced by the Estimated Financial Contribution provided on a Student Aid Report.
The application is available each year after Dec. 1 at www.aerhq.org. Funds are for the Fall and Spring Semesters. To be considered, the scholarship application must be submitted online and on time, and all required documents must be received by the established deadline date. Stateside and overseas spouses who receive free tuition as a result of their employment are only eligible to apply for assistance for fees, supplies and books (no duplicates) for classes in which they are enrolled.
