The U.S. Army Combined Arms Support Command and Fort Lee has designated April 30 - May 4 as the post Spring Cleanup period.

The purpose is to establish, maintain and enhance the community by creating a clean and sanitary installation, and affording Soldiers, family members and civilians a healthy working, living and training environment.

Efforts and inspections focus on outside areas, repairs and maintenance of family housing and installation over-watch areas, police and maintenance of Morale, Welfare and Recreation, and recreational areas, and ensuring environmental compliance.

One day will be designated for housing cleanup, with an 8 a.m. start time. Specific housing areas are scheduled are follows:

• April 30 - Jackson Circle

• May 1 - Monroe Manor

• May 2 - Jefferson Terrace

• May 3 - Madison Park

• May 3 - Permanent Party Barracks

• May 4 - Harrison Villa

Soldiers will be released the day of designated housing area cleanup. The sponsor unit command sergeants major will inspect their respective housing area prior to the inspection by garrison command sergeant major and post command sergeant major.

Individual quarters and areas deficiencies will be referred to the area coordinator to contact the appropriate building coordinator and identify required corrective action.

If deficiencies remain uncorrected, a letter will be sent to the commander of the Soldier failing to respond. Life safety inspections will also be conducted in quarters on assigned cleaning days.

The U‑Do‑It Center, building 6208, will be open Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., and Saturday, 8:30 a.m. - noon during the cleanup period.

Plastic bags, tools, mulch, grass seed, fertilizer, and lime are available for pickup for common areas only.
